And we've got a Spilt Milk VIP Double Pass to giveaway!
Following on from our Spilt Milk discount code yesterday, this morning we’re excited to giveaway a BEST DRESSED (VIP) DOUBLE PASS to Spilt Milk on Sunday — who says you’re not getting a bit of value out of this old free daily newsletter hey?
As always, to enter just reply to this email and you’re in the running! This one’s for 18+ crew only, and we’ll reply to the winner by 5pm on Wednesday to give you a bit of time to start prepping your fit (and selecting the lucky pal you’ll be taking).
Music festival’s not your bag? May I kindly point you towards our usual proceedings below — including if you’ll indulge me, an interview with one of my all-time fave Perth venues, El Grotto, which is celebrating its 10th birthday this weekend.

“A place to hangout with our mates”: 10 years of sunset tacos y lots of tequila with El Grotto
We bandy about the word “iconic” a little too much in 2025, but it really does apply to that strip of bars, beach and muscle-bound bods that frequent the Scarborough Esplanade.
It’s a surf and sunset-drenched stretch of coastline that’s come a long way over the past 10 years, especially with the (eventual) completion of the esplanade’s redevelopment in 2018. And for a while it was making (at times overblown) front page news for all the wrong reasons, though a hefty police presence followed by a little global pandemic has seen it reborn in recent years as a more mature spot for drinkers and diners as late tycoon Alan Bond’s ever-present Rendezvous Hotel casts a watchful, if not fading, eye.
One mainstay over that 10 year period has been El Grotto, slinging liquors sourced from the homeland direct alongside an elevated menu of mouthwatering Mexican snacks that continues to evolve with the times.
