Plus how WA bees are helping South Australia's almonds.
“It was NOT this cold last year.” Something it feels like you say every winter, but don’t worry, in 2025 you’re actually not going crazy. Having a little bit more time on our hands than usual yesterday afternoon we did a very rudimentary comparison between July last year and July this year.
Turns out while the maximums are about the same, the overnight lows have been almost 2°C cooler this year. Cold comfort when trying to get out of bed in the morning we know, but we just wanted to reassure you (and ourselves) that no one’s going crazy, it is bloody cold. And don’t worry, soon enough we’ll be complaining about how hot it is.
