If you’ll indulge me for a minute - I may never recover from the Gov’s Sports Bar riding off into the salt lake sunset a couple years ago. A rough and tumble refuge from the hustle and bustle of busy summers on the island, it was somewhere to catch your breath and meet a few characters while enjoying a very cold beer on those classic, warm Rotto afternoons.

That said, we’re excited to see that part of the island move into a new era with the arrival of Wadjemup’s latest accommodation option, The Lodge. Sure it won’t be home to a pint-stained pub with a purple ATM, but the idea of something that keeps those casual, for-everyone kinda vibes on Perth’s favourite holiday destination is a huge win as far as we’re concerned.
