I said it last year and I’ll say it again, we really do hope you get to enjoy this last long weekend (for a little while).

Whether that’s through some reflecting on those who’ve served as the sun comes up tomorrow morning; watching the footy; putting your feet up; visiting one of the many markets that are on over the next few days; or catching a few rays on the randomly-quite-warm Sunday we have coming up.

HOMES

An underground “Earth Castle” in Bullsbrook is up for grabs

Hear ye, hear ye! Perhaps it’s serendipity – we were just discussing our upcoming medieval faire plans this week, when we discovered that Bullsbrook’s own magical, mystical, medieval-inspired property has finally hit the market!

Although we say medieval, this house could just as likely come from the future – perhaps from some kind of Dune-adjacent world, with grass and hobbits instead of sand and big worms…

And if it looks a little familiar? The start of this home’s build was featured on Grand Designs Australia back in 2022.

Fittingly, you’ll need to access the home via drawbridge – hopefully no trolls are afoot – winding your way along the path that cuts through the 25.87ha property.

With a total of six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, the home is split into two wings – with four bedrooms looking out towards the private lake, presumably with a few mythical swords rattling around, ready for a water-dwelling 10 to bequeath it on its rightful owner – and a separate, fully-contained wing at the southern end of the home.
