Well having gotten their (all things going to plan) last loss for the year out of the way over the weekend, it’s officially time to get on board the Fremantle Dockers finals train — after next weekend’s bye, of course. And if I could take a somewhat altruistic approach to things, I get the feeling most of WA — no matter which team you barrack for — is rooting for the boys in purple to finally get the job done this year.
Certainly makes the next few weeks of footy far more interesting for those of us at the opposite end of the ladder!

CinefestOZ Film Festival is back this month, here’s a quick primer
CinefestOZ is heading down south again from August 28 to September 6, taking over Busselton, Margaret River and Bunbury for 10 jam-packed days of Australian films, premieres, filmmaker Q&As, red carpets, funeral home screenings (yes, you read thatcorrectly), food and wine events and community screenings.
Since launching in 2008, CinefestOZ has grown into one of WA’s major film events. There’s a lot happening this year, so I’ve picked out some of the films, screenings and events worth checking out.
