Cop top-shelf feeds at this bowls club tonight
Plus a heap of fun things happening around town this weekend.
Are frozen yoghurt joints our new “third space”, or just a flash in the pan? The lines outside ‘em at any and all hours of the day would suggest the former, but — and I’m showing my age here — may I humbly put forward your local bowlo as ripping spot to catch up with friends, fam, and the local community?
The booze is a bit cheaper; they’re usually fenced off so kids can romp around while making new friends (they’ll learn what “STAY OFF THE GRASS” means real quick); bowls is actually pretty fun once you get the hang of it; there’s always sport on the tele; and if you’re lucky, they do some ripper food too…

While Doubleview Bowling Club recently farewelled Special Delivery from its Wednesday and Friday night food service, it has since welcomed chef Glenn McCue, bringing his own pop up Jujube Dining after a year in the kitchen with the SD gang.
