Good Monday morning to all of you fine folk who decided to make this newsletter apart of it. I’ll be honest with you, I’ve left this introduction until the very last minute, and this coffee is taking a little longer to kick in than I’d hoped, so I’ll play it safe and just direct you to get scrolling below.
There you’ll get the skinny on East Vic Park’s new cheap eat spot with meals starting as little as $5.98; info on the new vouchers that could score you up to 50% off some adventures up north; bathe in the glory that is Wharfie Time (like my dad still was yesterday after Thursday night's game); and a few walking trails not too far from the city worth a wander.

FreshCook: East Vic Park’s futuristic, machine-assisted cheap eat spot
The hunt for cheap eats around Perth is never ending, and in East Victoria Park a buzzy new spot is finding plenty of fans, serving some meals for less than $6.
FreshCook is entrepreneur Mark Sun’s latest venture, following the success of Hello Spice in Canning Vale, but with a bigger and more futuristic venue.
Director Joyce Yang says FreshCook stands out not just for its prices, but also for the taste.
“Just because it’s cheap, it doesn’t mean that the quality is poor,” Yang explains. “We do everything from scratch — the chicken is sous vide, the beef is marinated — so there are no shortcuts.”
It serves a wide range of food with a focus on Asian dishes, but spaghetti, chilli mussels and tiramisu are also on the menu. During the lunch rush, baskets of steaming xiao long bao and bowls topped with rich broth, coriander and, of course, noodles move quickly from counter to table.
