Cheers to the weekend! After all my handwringing last week over warm weekdays and cool weekends, tomorrow is looking like a scorcher. Which means I am pleased to report all weather chat will be put on the back-burner until further notice.

In the midst of staying cool out there, I hope you get out and have some fun — there’s so many fantastic, big events on this weekend and heaps of them are free to attend. Coogee Live, Joondalup Festival, Brazilian Beach Carnival, Sculpture by the Sea… the list goes on.

A former Wembley church that’s undergone a heavenly transformation

This religious to residential transformation is so good, you’ll feel like you’re in heaven…

Cast your mind back, if you will, to 2023 – to be precise, the middle of June. It was on that wintery day that we featured a Wembley church that was up for grabs: “whether you transform it into your unique dream home or continue its legacy as a church or community organisation,” we wrote at the time.

We couldn’t have predicted the transformation it’s made since!

Located at 35 Pangbourne Street, the main church and secondary hall have been subdivided – with the 1941-built church at the front reimagined into a two-storey townhouse.
