Exclusive first looks, big changes for Guildford’s historic post office, a fun little pop-up exhibition in Northbridge, the weekend footy wrap, World Ocean Day and a very cool Baysie house which you have 24 hours to get an offer in for (we wish).

A little bit of everything to start what’s looking like a very wet and wild week ahead.

Your first look at Wayfinder’s new winery, cellar door and restaurant

Amongst the lush landscape of WA's world-renowned wine country, Wayfinder is getting set to open their brand new sprawling, sustainable, state-of-the-art home base.

The new facility at the Wilyabrup winery is scheduled to officially open its doors on August 3, with a cellar door and farm-to-table restaurant designed by award-winning practice Kerry Hill Architects, its kitchen lead by Executive Chef Brendan Pratt – former Culinary Director of Parker Group and previously Head Chef of Vasse Felix.

The purpose-built facility is fully off-grid, designed to expand on Wayfinder's dedication to regenerative farming practices and low-intervention winemaking. The nearby market garden, which already supplies the existing Wayfinder wine bar in Dunsborough that opened in 2024, has also been significantly extended to comprise a full acre – and will also supply other select local venues.

Taking influence from the existing Dunsborough wine bar (its kitchen lead by chef Andres Felipe Montiel), Pratt's approach will be driven by the seasonal abundance of the market garden, with the full range of Wayfinder wines available both by the glass and in curated tasting flights.

On the market: A quirky Bayswater cottage with an architectural extension

Big houses are nice, sure!

But what about a house that really reflects how we live? Located at 83 Milne Street, this Bayswater mid-century cottage was updated in 2018 by Robeson Architects, turning away from a bigger-is-better mentality towards leafy liveability.

That means plenty of outdoor space – including a huge fenced front yard dotted with raised garden beds and shaded by established natives, and a charming front porch from which to watch the world go by.

The existing cottage has remained mostly untouched – with the primary bedroom looking out to the front garden’s flowering eucalyptus, adjoined by a large walk in robe and ensuite. Across the hall, a potential fourth bedroom, complete with brick fireplace and ceiling rose, is currently utilised as an office – with both rooms featuring jarrah floorboards and ornate cornices.
