Perhaps in a slice of serendipity, the very wintery-looking weekend brings with it news that some of our best winter festivals are returning — once we actually get there. First up, Lightscape is back to turn Kings Park into a luminous late night landscape for almost two months over June and July.
And in pleasing news for the indie kids out there, Fremantle’s new winter festival ARRIVAL has dropped another epic lineup after a successful first hit out in 2025. Lightscape returns to Kings Park this winter
Blockbuster event Lightscape is getting ready to transform Kings Park once more, with a totally new immersive experience coming to Perth this winter.
The light trail will be shining from June 5 to July 26, twisting and turning its way through 1.8km of Kings Park – and this year, will feature a fresh line-up of installations by leading international artists.
The 20-plus installations will include the fungally-inspired Mycelium Network, by UK-based artist Stevie Thompson.
