Well here I am back in the driver’s seat after a short-but-sweet holiday that already feels long ago and far away. Sounds like I missed the actual official arrival of winter (which I’m not too mad about) and nothing else too crazy (also not mad about it).
Shoutout the team for holding down the fort in my absence, and before we dive in I will share with you just one photo of this fair-skinned fellow enjoying his week off by the pool…

Meet Willing Coffee’s new West Parade flagship
For the past few months, we’ve been keeping an eye on a distinctive building emerging in Mount Lawley.
It should come as no surprise that the newly-completed West Parade apartments have been inspired by New York’s Flatiron Building – although here it’s been reinterpreted through a more local lens by Klopper & Davis Architects, its pointy form softened by the soft curves of the balconies that stack upwards into the sky.
The latest from boutique property developers Willing, at its base sits their new flagship Willing Coffee location – what founder Tim Willing describes as a “love letter to coffee”.
“We’ve always believed that great buildings should contribute to the life of the neighbourhood, not simply occupy it,” Tim tells us, describing the café as an extension of home for the upstairs residents, as well as a welcoming hub for the surrounding community.
