Northbridge fave No Mafia launches new lunch special

Plus Blues at Bridgetown drops huge 2025 lineup, and more.

We love a feel-good community news story, which you’ll find down the bottom of today’s newsletter in our chat to Toby Halsey. Toby hosts Books in the Brewery, which is pretty much what it says on the tin: a book club that meets up in breweries (and occasionally wine bars) around Perth.

Plenty more of the usual good oil to go with that story, and I’ll sign off with a quick Happy Birthday to mum, who according to her is celebrating turning [redacted] years young today 🥰

Throwback Thursday

On this day in 1950: One of Australia’s worst ever aviation disasters. A plane carrying 25 passengers and five crew took off from Guildford airport, only to crash shortly after near York. Only one man survived the crash, before sadly passing away in hospital days later.
