One of Australia’s best baristas just opened a coffee shop in the CBD

Plus the best things to do this weekend.

Nothing gets us going like finding passionate Perth peeps doing their thing around town, which is why we’re so excited to introduce you to Ziggy, below. Ziggy’s doing some crazy things with coffee at his new shop in the heart of the CBD, and has a menu divided into three sections: comfort, adventure, experimental.

While you can get to know him below, we recommend popping by during the week and having a yarn to him or one of his equally knowledgable - and friendly - baristas, and take your daily caffeine hit to new heights.

EAT & DRINK

How many times have you had a particularly great coffee and not realised it was made by a world-class champion? We suspect more often than you might think. Well, CBD workers may have noticed a new café arrive at the base of 140 William last week…

THE LATEST FROM PERTH IS OK!
SPORTS

Over 2000 riders, officials and spectators will roll through Balcatta this week for the 2024 BMX Racing National Championships - on now right through til Sunday.

SPONSORED

The State Government is reviewing WA’s strata laws for the first time in five years, and you can have a say in what happens next when it comes to your experiences with secondhand smoke.

HOMES

North Perth is filled with retro Mediterranean homes – there’s hardly a street you can walk down without spying a few archways or a concrete lion or two…

EVENTS

RAC Arena’s Concert Superpass charity raffle will be back for 2025, with $10 tickets now available to purchase, once again raising funds for The Salvation Army.

EAT & DRINK

Thursday Meal Deal: Porterhouse Night at the Wray Hotel

We get the feeling The Wray is gonna pop up a few times in this section, starting with Thursday night’s $20 porterhouse steak special. Head down from 5-6 for $8 pints on all taps too!

WHAT’S ON

Every weekend we feel like things are about to quieten down a bit they end up even busier than the last! And this weekend is no different, with the return of a popular northern suburbs beachside market, a celebration of the might spud and heaps more.

CCAPTUREDD

Throwback Thursday

We’ve got a feeling Cott is going to look a bit like this tomorrow, minus the circa-1960s concrete boardwalk of course!
