Perth is OK! 2024 wrap: Our fave new bars, restaurants, cafes and more
Plus a bunch of things to do over the festive season.
Well here we are at our final mailout of 2024, the tenth year of Perth is OK! being a thing. Funnily enough, it was just last week that our little corner of the world had apparently, finally, shaken the “dullsville” tag that semi-inspired the birth of Perth is OK! back in 2014.
Tools down, job done then? Perhaps a name change to Perth is Great, Actually! is in order? No, despite the many people out there who love to jump into comment sections and tell us we should do the latter, we’re excited about what’s in store for Perth is OK! in 2025 and beyond.
This year we ticked off a few milestones, including going past 1.5 million followers across the various platforms out there, launching a daily mailout, and creating a snazzy new events portal to make it easier than ever to find things to do around town.
But most of all we got to spend another year big-upping Perth and Western Australia, and connecting with more of you than ever while we did it, and we’re looking forward to more of the same next year. So we hope you enjoy the festive season and we’ll see you then!

STAYSWe’re not sure if its recency bias or reality, but 2024 felt particularly heccas, and we’ve lost count of the times we got lost daydreaming about a Western Australian getaway in the midst of the chaos. |
THINGS TO DOWe whipped up a pretty extensive guide to keep the family entertained this festive season. From art and craft to sporting programs, LEGO workshops, cooking lessons, messy play, Minecraft masterclasses and much more: |
