Enjoy the week Freo fans and dare to dream after a cracking game! The season continues, Sydney awaits and another big Friday night for every pub in town that has a telly is on the way.
Until then, a rather warm early spring week is on the horizon (how about Wednesday, huh?), and we’ve got plenty to dig into in today’s newsletter, including a second CBD coffee shop from one of WA’s best baristas, Fatboy Slim is headed back to WA next year, and Australia’s longest running outdoor painting festival returns to Mandurah this month.

March Coffee Studio expands to a second location on the Terrace
Almost exactly two years since opening his flagship CBD café March Coffee Studio, Ziggy Varamulia is not even close to slowing down. In fact, the champion barista is kicking it into another gear – all with a smile on his dial.
By the time you read this, March Coffee’s second location will be open at 181 St Georges Terrace, just a few blocks away from the OG at 140 William Street.
Where 140 is bright – benefitting from the high ceilings and shiny, more corporate vibes of the building’s lobby – this next iteration of March takes its inspiration from its new home.
“You’ve got to let the building speak to you, and it has to have some sort of meaning behind it,” explains Ziggy when we visit ahead of the opening. “It should have a story behind it.”

Perth’s best waterfall and wildflower trail combos
It’s no secret that spring is a lot of people in Perth’s favourite season.
Yes, summers are amazing and endless days at the beach are the best and yes, autumn is also pretty great (hello colours in the Hills and lovely walks in Hyde Park), but spring in Perth with the waterfalls and wildflowers and lovely sunny days and the promise of all things bright and beautiful?
Yup, that’s the good stuff.
