FORGOTTEN PERTH
Freo’s A Shed is turning 100 – are you a part of its story?
When you think of Freo/Walyalup, a few things come to mind…
The picturesque West End, the iconic Cappuccino Strip, the bustling markets – and of course, the patchwork colours of cargo containers and giraffe-like cranes that perch on the edge of the port, and the historic buildings that have serviced the city’s industry for hundreds of years.
It’s fair to say that Victoria Quay is a part of the fabric of Fremantle: from the tens of thousands of migrants that made their way to Fremantle and shaped Western Australian culture, to the endless tonnes of sandalwood, sheep and timber that passed through the quay, or the tens of thousands of years that the area has been used as a gathering place for the Noongar people.

HOMES
Spectacular Skyview! Another stunning Hills home is for sale
Just mere moments after falling in love with a Boya beauty last week, our eyes are turned to another striking Hills home… How fickle the heart is!
And funnily enough, this lovely Lesmurdie number has a family connection to its Boya counterpart: it was designed by Lynthorne Matthews, father of Leonie Matthews – one half of Matthews McDonald Architects, designers of the Boya home!
While vastly different in scale, both homes share a sensitivity to their unique Hills environments, and prioritise taking in those spectacular outlooks across the Darling Scarp.
