A very warm welcome to you on this sunny Monday morning — today we come to you with a little PSA after noticing some Halloween decos going up around the place over the weekend (yay spooky szn!). If you like draping those fake cobwebs all over your garden and the front of your house, may we politely suggest you give it a miss this year (and all future years).
Not only is it just adding plastic to the environment, it’s really good at actually trapping wildlife! Especially this time of year when the bees are up and about getting some of that sweet, sweet pollen, they tend to get stuck in that stuff and die very easily.
You know we’re a Halloween-positive household here at Perth is OK!, so just wanted to throw this one out there early as festivities begin to ramp up 🦇 🎃

The new Nedlands café bringing Melbourne’s viral frozen coffee to Perth
A few months ago, we were inundated with visions of icy, frosted glasses and swirling shots of coffee…
We didn’t develop psychic powers – instead, we were seeing video after video of then-new Melbourne café Regulars and their viral frozen “dirty” coffee, served in glasses chilled to -85 degrees celsius.
We weren’t the only ones captivated by the concept!
Owner of brand new Nedlands café Encore, plus long-standing cafés The Little Concept in Fremantle and The Clean Food Store in Shenton Park, Angela Feng was already on the lookout for another venue when her husband travelled to Melbourne and happened upon Regulars’ frozen offering.
