We’ve got a music-heavy couple of newsletters coming up for you over the next few days, with some epic touring gigs being announced alongside some returning free music faves. Meaning we’ve really got no excuse to inject a bit of music into our lives over the warmer months which, alongside getting out into nature, I would suggest could be very important when it comes to our mental health!
We do lead today, however, with an interesting story on West Aussies’ growing adoption of electric vehicles, and the charging network that’s struggling to keep up with it — which leads me to a question for the EV-drivers among us:
Have you had issues charging your EV while travelling through regional WA?

NEWS
Western Australia’s EV uptake soars while charging network stalls
As more West Aussies switch to electric vehicles, concerns are growing that WA’s public charging network is struggling to keep pace with demand.
This year, WA reached a new milestone in electric vehicle uptake, with a record 63,241 light EVs licensed across the State as of June.
But while sales continue to soar across the Sate, a recent report from the Electric Vehicle Council (EVC) has raised concerns about WA’s infrastructure and policy support.
In its annual report, the EVC gave WA a score of three out of 10 on its EV policy scoreboard, stating that despite its healthy budget position, support for passenger vehicles, freight vehicles and charging infrastructure is falling short.
And it’s an issue that seems to be especially prevalent across regional and remote parts of WA.
