Terribly sad news for the Australian sports community with the passing of Dennis Cometti yesterday. Much like Richie Benaud was the voice of Australia’s summer for cricket fans, Cometti was the voice of Australia’s winter.

After conquering the Doubleview Bowls Club crowd with Special Delivery, then drawing the masses to their Modus pop up Magnolia BBQ, chefs Anisha Halik and Jacob D’Vauz have started their latest chapter at Gwelup Fish & Chips.
The team took over the chippy back in December, and officially opened their doors at the tail end of February – utilising Halik’s long-running career in neighbourhood fish and chip shops across Perth to serve up a menu of nostalgic classics, as well as some Magnolia BBQ/Special Delivery twists that draw from the flavours of the Indonesian Archipelago.
