I was lucky enough to catch a sneak preview of Nic Cage’s new movie The Surfer earlier in the week, shot down south almost exclusively in the Rabbit Hill car park, and you best believe this was me the whole time:

There is something very fun about famous people being in places you’ve been, or locations you know and love being up on the big screen. It does feel like news about WA-based productions is becoming more frequent, and with the Perth Film Studios launching next year, we’re excited to see if our little corner of the world starts pumping out movies in years to come (and point aggressively at screens when we do watch ‘em).
