With the WA State Budget coming tomorrow, the Federal one next week, and another interest rate rise yesterday, I found myself squeezing in a couple of happy hour beers with a mate at the pub last night longing for the days when I didn’t have to worry about such things.

And while I assume many of you are in the same boat, I figured I may as well actually try and find out with a little ad hoc polling in this here mailout.

How are you travelling with all the budget and rate rise noise right now?

South West winter foodie fest Cabin Fever unveils huge 10th year program

Cabin Fever Festival is back for its 10th year, and the Margaret River region program is the most expansive it's ever been with more than 40 events across 10 days over July 17-26.

To mark the milestone, the festival is bringing back a handful of well-loved events alongside a raft of new additions, including a special guest music act from the east coast.

Returning to the program is Blazing Brews at Beerfarm; the Hair of the Truffle Dog breakfast at Margaret River Truffle Farm paired with wines from Skigh Wines (now with an evening edition alongside LS Merchants); and the Cheese Toastie Battle at Strange Brew Wine Bar, where five contestants go head to head and the crowd picks the winner.
