Happy Hump Day to all and sundry — not a lot rattling around in the old brain box as I type this so let’s just get straight into it: Read on to find a very lush-looking Gidgegannup estate that’ll have you dreaming of a tree change (if you weren’t already); a couple of articles pertaining to the WA Gov’s new Seven Cities vision (which is not a Game of Thrones spin-off); a great little fundraiser coming up next month; and as always on a Wednesday, what’s on for the rest of the week!

Fancy a tree change? Take a peek inside this lush Gidgegannup estate

Maybe it’s just us, but we’ve been having a whole lot of chats lately about touching grass – figuratively and literally.

In the hustle and bustle of life in the big smoke and the relentless news cycle, the idea of escaping to a lush, pastoral estate is more appealing than ever – and Gidgegannup’s Mindaroo Estate ticks all the lush boxes, only about an hour’s drive from the Perth CBD.

The approximately 129 acre lot is part of Gidgegannup’s Mindaroo holding – and as well as the main three-bedroom homestead, includes six paddocks, two bores, barn (made with reclaimed timber pylons from the old South of Perth Yacht Club jetty) and horse training round yard.

Incidentally, it may also include an interstellar artefact – with reports in 2011 of a bright white light, and a suspected meteorite plunging into one of the paddocks.

(No cows were harmed in the process, thankfully.)
