The best pho in Perth

Plus there's a timely free fungi forage happening today and Sunday.

Here’s a hot little viewing tip apropos of nothing and not related to Perth: While it’s super easy to fall into the trap of doom-scrolling a never-ending doom-filled news cycle, the ABC’s recent two-part Australian Story is more than worth your time. It tells the incredible tale of a Lithuanian rafter who became trapped between rocks on a remote Tassie river.

I shall say no more - but may I recommend you seek it out, put on a nice warm cuppa tea, curl up on the couch one of this week’s cold winter nights, and raft the emotional rollercoaster. A timely reminder that there’s a lot of good (and good people) out there in the world - especially after some bozo honks their horn at you in traffic later today for absolutely no reason.
