The CBD's new weekend coffee spot
Plus plans for a floating sauna in Pemberton, and more.
Gonna use today’s intro to take a moment to acknowledge the loss of an Australian and Perth music legend, James Baker, who passed away earlier this week. James manned the skins for some this country’s most iconic bands including The Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon and the Hoodoo Gurus, to name a small few.
A statement released after his death puts it best, so here it is: “…The King of the Perth Big Beat, the godfather of Perth Punk and Australia’s Garage Guru… James was a genuine tastemaker and style influencer. He was a man who LOVED rock’n’roll, and who shared the love with everybody. And he was loved. He was so loved.”
