WA’s incoming rule changes for learner drivers and p-platers had me looking back on my time as both — which was a while ago, to be fair.

I failed my first driving test and cried all the way home in the car with my driving instructor (turns out you can’t just pull out in front of a truck even if it appears to be indicating from ages away), and I put in a lot of learner hours on trips down south… That strange rite of passage for many of us and the absolute best time for inexperienced kids to be handling the family wagon amidst long weekend traffic.

Given how hectic the roads feel these days (what’s the rush, everyone?), getting young drivers a little more prepared to tackle them seems like a no-brainer…

Freo’s Sir Botanical on designing florals for Charli XCX, Chappell Roan and Olivia Dean

Back in February, we were lucky enough to be in the crowd at Laneway Festival when Robert Irwin strutted out, the long-awaited reveal of Role Model’s final “Sally” celebrity guest.

The crowd went wild! We went wild! Everyone was hooting and hollering, Robert was dancing, life was good.

And then, the next day, Robert Irwin posts a bunch of red roses addressed “To Sally” on his Instagram feed. We couldn’t help but wonder: who was the florist behind that bouquet, at this point liked by over 750 thousand people?

The answer: Freo’s very own Sir Botanical.
