Is there anything more life-affirming on god’s green earth than a great Bloody Mary? I can vividly remember many of the best ones over the years, and they usually find their way to me when I need them most (see: a bit hungover). Most recently I randomly ordered one at Giniversity in Margaret River and while for once I wasn’t dusty, it was truly magnificent.

If this has you thinking about where you might score your next all-timer, we’ve got a little hot tip for you this Sunday… Check it out below, along with a Peppy Grove apartment that has its own indoor half court, Here Comes The Sun’s 2026 return and more.

P.S. Enough of you hit us up about it so I’d like to formally apologise for the typo in yesterday’s newsletter, turns out it’s either Busso or Busselton, not an amalgamation of both.

HOMES

This Peppermint Grove apartment with its own indoor half court is a slam dunk

We’ve heard of plenty of residential conversions – with warehouses, factories and former shopfronts all turned into homes.

But we’ll readily admit: this is the first we’ve ever heard of a squash court being converted into a three bedroom luxury apartment – let alone one with a basketball half court.

It’s also got a home open this weekend…

Here Comes The Sun returns to Margaret River in 2026 with Lime Cordiale, Jungle Giants and more

Few festivals feel as perfectly placed as Here Comes The Sun in Margaret River — and in 2026, it’s coming back bigger than ever.

Returning to the South West on Saturday 25 April, the much-loved music festival will once again take over 3 Oceans, running alongside the Western Australia Margaret River Pro weekend — this time as part of a new national partnership with the World Surf League.

The 2026 Margaret River lineup is led by Lime Cordiale, bringing sun-soaked, feel-good sounds tailor-made for an afternoon at 3 Oceans. They’ll be joined by The Jungle Giants, Young Franco, Sycco, Eliza & The Delusionals, and rising star Mariae Cassandra, with more artists still to be announced.
