Welcome to our first ever Friday newsletter, we’re going to try and keep these pretty chill, with a few ideas on spots to visit or things to go to over the coming weekend. Whether it’s new bars, community events, hiking trails or something else, hopefully you find a few things to enjoy over the next couple of days once you’re done putting your feet up for a minute!

Nestled in that sweet spot that’s kind of Northbridge, kind of Highgate – you know, that Golden Choice, Wines of While, Northbridge Hotel kind of territory – Bar Love is bringing a taste of kitsch, retro fun to the area.

WEEKEND WALK

Given the deluge of rain we’ve copped the past couple of days, this is peak time for waterfall wandering before they start drying up. So this weekend we’re gonna check in on one of our faves - Whistlepipe Gully.

There’s so much on this weekend (Evernow, Groundswell, Int’l Festival of Speed) that we’re going to need to wind down on Sunday with some wholesome community vibes, raising funds for an important cause.

We’re quite literally eating our words – the days of Subi getting a bad rap are well and truly over. The suburb’s eating and drinking is going from strength to strength lately, with some of Perth’s best restaurants in the mix.
